، From Food Sector Officer to Project Officer What has been the impact of training on Ahmed’s professional growth?

Professional growth

Hailing from Aden Governorate in Yemen, Ahmed Fathi has demonstrated remarkable career growth. Fathi’s journey began as a Food and Livelihood Officer with Sawaed Al Khair Humanitarian Foundation. His dedication and participation in a training program offered by the Yemen NGO Empowerment Project (Tadamon) led to a well-deserved promotion to Project Officer within the organization.

Intensive training

In 2023, Ahmed participated in an intensive training program on writing and designing project proposals, alongside 29 colleagues from various organizations. Led by an expert trainer, the program equipped participants with the practical skills required to craft professional project proposals.

Increase in knowledge

The training on writing project proposals significantly enhanced my knowledge. The most valuable aspect for me was the trainer’s ongoing support. This allowed me to address challenges faced while writing proposals. Furthermore, I effectively shared the acquired knowledge and foundational concepts with my colleagues, fulfilling the post-training program requirements for the Tadamon project. This comprehensive learning experience solidified my understanding of the material.

Post-training

Following his training, Ahmed gained a broader perspective and applied the newly acquired methodology to develop several projects. Notably, his project, “Spare Them from the Question,” was successfully selected by the Kuwait Direct Aid Society and received funding. Ahmed’s role as project officer earned him praise from the donor for the project’s results. This success led to his involvement in writing and preparing five additional proposals across diverse fields, all of which received initial funding approval.
